Geocache Description:

A short way along a public footpath from St. Annes church yard in Woodplumpton.

Buried in the churchyard is local witch, Meg Shelton, who was placed in the grave upside down in 1705- some say still alive. A large boulder was placed on top to stop her escaping, and this still marks the grave to this day. Some say she will one day appear in Australia after scratching her way through.
The story goes that if you run round the grave 3 times, jump on top and make a wish, it will come true. Maybe you will want to try it when you visit!

See (visit link)
for various accounts.

The cache is not in the churchyard and the carpark is available at all times.
