Oberhaslach est jumelée avec Las Vegas; pourtant, les deux endroits
ont beaucoup de choses en commun. Il suffit de les découvrir...
Le waypoint donné (GCNCBJ) est un point aléatoire dans le
village. On peut se garer n'importe où pour faire cette cache, mais
attention aux forces de l'ordre, qui sont partout, comme à Las
Vegas, pour réprimer la moindre contravention.
Aller d'abord à N48º32.934 E007º19.962, où on trouve un hôtel
qui n'a rien à envier au "Caesar's Palace", ce dernier n'ayant même
pas de poilu au-dessus de la porte d'entrée. Noter la date ici:

Las Vegas, c'est avant tout le jeu et les casinos. Ici, vous
pouvez perdre votre argent tout aussi rapidement qu'au "Golden
Nugget"; il suffit d'aller à N48º32.995 E007º19.850 et y acheter
des billets du Loto et/ou des cartes à gratter. Noter le numéro de
maison de cet établissement pour "grand joueurs": b.
Maintenant, après une telle soirée de folie (ou même une
matinée; on ne sait jamais quelle heure il est dans une telle
métropole dédiée à l'hédonisme), quoi de plus fou que d'aller se
marier? Oberhaslach a aussi son "Wedding Chapel", située à
N48º32.998 E007º19.696. Faîtes donc comme Demi et Bruce, Frank
Sinatra, ou Britney Spears! A la sortie, en face, une statue d'un
prêtre vous bénit. Noter sa date d'installation: c.
Si la fête du mariage est vraiment bien arrosée, vous aurez
peut-être besoin d'appeler les pompiers. Ceux de Oberhaslach ont
leur quartier général à N48º33.041 E007º19.421. Leurs homologues de
Las Vegas ont peut-être 17 fois plus de matériel, et un effectif de
plus de 600 personnes, mais leur camion est peint dans exactement
la même couleur! Noter ici le numéro sur le panneau vert:

calculer les coordonnées de la cache: si

afficher les coordonnées au format "dd.ddddd"; la cache se trouve à
N48.nnnnnº, E007.eeeeeº.
Et - quelle ironie! - en faisant les derniers 200 mètres pour
arriver à la cache, vous traverserez aussi "Las Vegas" - au sens
espagnol des mots...
(English) Not many people know that Oberhaslach is
twinned with America's capital of gambling and entertainment. And
yet, the two places have so much in common! Come and take a short
walk around this exciting metropolis, hidden away in the forests of
Alsace, and you'll soon see what we mean.
The cache waypoint, GCNCBJ, is just a random point in the town .
You can park anywhere - but make sure you do so legally, because
just like in Las Vegas, the cops are waiting on every street corner
to pounce on traffic violators!
At N48º32.934 E007º19.962, you'll find a hotel where the height
of the door handles is exactly the same as at Caesar's
Palace - which doesn't even have a French WW1 soldier above the
door. Note the year over the entrance here: a.
The first thing most people think of when they hear the words
"Las Vegas", is gambling. The establishment at N48º32.995
E007º19.850 may be a little smaller than the Golden Nugget casino,
and it isn't yet open 24 hours a day, but you can lose your money
just as fast here, by buying Lotto tickets and scratch
cards. Note its number in the street: b.
Now, it's happened to all of us: after an evening's drinking and
gambling, sometimes you just have to go and get married. Like Las
Vegas, Oberhaslach has its own wedding chapel at N48º32.998
E007º19.696, so you can follow in the footsteps of Demi Moore and
Bruce Willis, Michael Jordan, and, er, Britney Spears. Across the
street from here is a house where a priest will bless you as you
emerge from the chapel into the neon-lit splendour of the Rue du
Nideck, better know to local residents simply as "The Strip". Note

If you really celebrate your wedding hard enough, you may need
the services of the fire department. The Oberhaslach fire station
is conveniently located at N48º33.041 E007º19.421, and their fire
truck is painted exactly the same shade of red as the ones used
by the Las Vegas Fire & Rescue department. Note the number

see how much money you'd lost, and work out:
