Geocache Description:

Web-Cam cache located in Edinboro, PA. Not far from Edinboro campus.

Here's one of those caches that requires a team effort! To complete this cache, you will need the following items:

a GPS
a cell phone
a friend sitting at a computer with internet access and a telephone
(Or bring a Smart Phone with you)

What you need to do to claim this find:

The coordinates will take you to the ideal spot for a good picture from the webcam. The camera itself is located inside the upper right pane of the front window at COAX. COAX is short for Coaxial Cable Television Corporation which is located at 105 Walker Drive. The best place to stand is about midway on the front sidewalk, about halfway between the building and the parking area. Have your GPS in your hand for the picture. Once ready, call your friend and have them go to this website:

Edinboro Coaxial Cable TV Webcam Page

They can also click the "User's Web Page" link at the top of this page.

The camera updates every minute and keeps the last ten pictures in memory. You will need to stand in front of the camera for at least 1 minute to be sure the camera gets you in the shot when it updates. The camera does not refresh automatically, so the picture your friend sees will not change until they hit the refresh button on their browser. The last picture snapped will be the one displayed. They can also click the arrow buttons below the picture to view the last ten minutes worth of pictures taken. So, by using the refresh button and the arrow buttons above the camera, your friend should be able to find a shot with you in it.

Once they have a picture of you on their screen, they need to save it to their hard drive. How to save it depends on what web browser they use. If they are using Internet Explorer, they can 'Right Click' on the picture and click "Save Picture As". They may also get a small tool bar that pops up when the cursor is on the picture. One of the options will be a picture of a disc. Click on it to save.

Have them e-mail you the picture, so you can post it and claim your find! You and your friend will have to practice this before you head out, to ensure they know how to do it correctly. Have your friend verify that the picture has been saved before you leave the spot, so your trip isn't wasted.

This cache CAN be done at night. I do not own or control this camera. Be sure to check the camera's website before going out, to make sure that everything is working properly. There will be times when the camera is not working power outages, loss of internet connection, etc.

Any logs without a photo will be deleted.
