There are lots of back trails and swamp walking opportunities in Cranberry Portage, MB. This cache is a little more easily accessible (a terrain rating of 3)in the winter months - but watch your step! In the summer you can still get to the cache but there is some swamp to navigate (a terrain rating of 4).
Be creative - you may not wish to choose the trail that tells you it is the closest to the cache. You have the opportunity to approach it from many different directions.
On your hike you will get to see an old beaver dam and an impressive chunk of the Canadian Shield with all its cracks and crevices.
We created a "Puzzles and Games" cache and it is in a white tobacco container. Inside you will find:
- a 3D puzzle cube
- a Magic Eye Postcard
- a Mini deck of playing cards
- 1 Mad Gab Card
- 1 Mind Trap Card
- 2 old bottle cap "picture puzzles"
- 2 dice
