Geocache Description:

Located in beech woodland to the East of High Wycombe.

High Wycombe was once a furniture manufacturing town, hardly surprising therefore there are many areas of beech woodland nearby. The cache is situated on one of these, which sadly with the demise of the furniture industry has not been looked after as it was in the earlier days. The suggested parking spot is close the entrance to the Dry Ski slope. There is another footpath shown on the OS map close to the radio mast, but this is across a ploughed field and is not recommended. The path is little used so much so that it is not obvious from the ground where it actually runs. If you park at the suggested spot follow the edge of the woodland until you come the disused pig shelters, where there is a stile at the entrance to the wood. When I placed the cache the path was not muddy. The cache is in a 1.5 litre plastic box containing various goodies, but is only suitable for small items. Replace exactly as found and PLEASE no sticks across it!
