Lots of time we take geocaching for
granted. We go out and cache, sign the log and then log our find on
geocaching.com and that's it. There is so much more evolved behind the scenes
then just this. We have two Florida cachers/approvers that go way beyond the call of
duty. They are at work from the time a cache is submitted till the time the
cache is no longer in existence. First when a cache is submitted the approver
has to verify it meets geocaching.com's high standard qualifications. They have
to make sure it is not placed on private property, they check to make sure it is
properly filled out, and they even check to see if this cache is safe for us to
find. All this hard work and no pay. This cache is dedicated to Florida Cacher &
Crow T. Robot for all the hard work they do. Thanks Guys. You are the BEST!
Now for the cache: You may park at the
following cords
N 29 32 663 W 081 43.727
These parking cords are located in the
beautiful St. Johns Trailhead South. From this location you will be hiking appx
3/4 of a mile one way to the cache. The path is well maintained and easy to
navigate. When you get to about 50 foot from the cache, you will leave the main trail
and have very little bushwhacking, if any. I did get to see a few dear during
the placement. Bring your camera. Remember to be aware of other creatures of the
forest. Hope you enjoy your hike.
