Geocache Description:

Cache is located in a very small Milwaukee County park. Parking is available at N43 02.116 W87 54.209, bring change for a meter.

Permission to place this cache was granted by Jim Goulee, the South Regional Manager for Milwaukee County Parks.

This is another urban micro. Container is a small tube wrapped in cammo. Please be discrete there are lots of people in the area. This area used to be part of the Italian community. This location was the sight of Milwaukee's first landmark. The Blessed Virgin of Pompeii Church, known as "the little pink church", used to be located here. It was torn down to build the freeway. Rumor has it that Italian American's returning home from World War II would come to the church and kiss the front steps of this church because they had made it through the war.
