Geocache Description:

We're back baby! Ironically on the 20th anniversary of Lord of the Rings!

Thanks to Covid, our safehouse was compromised and our operatives have been decommissioned, forcing the number one cache in SoCal to go dark for almost a year. But "Lord of the Rings" now has a new home which no longer requires retrieval at a specific time of day, or use of the code words "The Goecache Flies at Midnight." Although you can still say the words if you like.

Instead, stealth is of the utmost importance since this has become a traditional cache, which now resides in a high traffic area.

IMPORTANT:  You can not be seen either retrieving the cache or returning it to its hiding spot or else the cache will be compromised and with fall into the hands of muggle spies.  This is why the cache difficulty is now listed as a 2.  This is your mission, should you choose to accept it.

Good luck cachers, you'll need it.

This entry will self destruct in 10 seconds...

In the meantime, the following is taken from the description of the original log placed in 2005.

I should probably state right off that there will be no hobbits here to greet you nor dragons to slay. Instead, you will find a most magical place where I first met and married my wife years ago. Since then, we have assumed our identities as super-spies “Six” and “Blade.”

Aside from being a top secret spy training facility, the rings have become their own subculture among the locals (find us on Facebook), and those that are up to the challenge will find themselves instantly addicted to the closest thing to flying without wings.

A bit of history, this spot was the site of the original Muscle Beach, where gymnasts, stuntmen, circus folk, and stars came to play back in the 40’s. The tradition continues still, and you can occasionally see everything from hand balancing to juggling, bullwhips, swordfighting, slackline and gymnastics. Sunday afternoons are usually the best.

UPDATE: Due to the disappearance of several trackables in the past, it is not advised to leave trackables in this cache.  And don't get distracted by the ROUSes.
