During the late 1970’s “Bottom of the harbour schemes” were a common practice. It was a scheme where hundreds of more affluent members of the community would avoid paying taxes by stripping a company of its assets so that it was unable to pay its debts.Thankfully the only similarities between this cache and those days of old are in the cache name. Put simply, its all in the name. Come by land or by water, either way you’ll have to get wet doing this cache. Bring your diving gear with you as a snorkel, goggles and flippers is a must, but theres no need for air tanks.
To reach the posted cords you’ll have a swim of approximately 100m from the closest land mass. The cache should be obvious as you start to descend to the depths below. Be sure to be in a dry location before opening the cache. A plethora of goodies await the finder with first finder enjoying a night at the movies.
