"BUG" Nursing Home, Graveyard, & Resurrection Pit Traditional Geocache
Prime Reviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Welcome to The Houston Metro Area Travel "Bug" Nursing Home, Graveyard, and Resurrection Pit: A place to trade bugs, bury your dead bugs, pay your last respects, and a place to keep your newly activated and unreleased bugs to free up your inventory. Please bring flowers (real or plastic) if you visit to pay respects to your/other's dead bugs. You'll instinctively KNOW where to place them when you see the cache location. Don't take the glass flower it's part of the cache decor.
The container for this cache is slightly larger than a .50 Cal. ammo can. It is well concealed, so please endeaver to replace it correctly for the safety of the travel bugs inside. Thanks.
Inside the container is another with Skull cap and 4 skeletons that are just waiting to become someone'else's travel bugs. The container itself is NOT for trade. It is meant to contain a second log scroll with the names of the dead written on it. BTW- You'll also KNOW what to do with the Sharpie marker inside the cache too.
All those other Travel Bug Graveyards are too far away. It's time for something a little closer to home. Several of my bugs are missing and presumed dead. I just wanted to have a place to visit them that's a bit closer to home. I'm sure others will too.
If you have a bug to trade/drop off, come to the coordinates listed (my accuracy checked out to within 4 feet) and make a trade, drop off, or just take a bug if you can help it closer to a goal.
If you have a dead bug and you want to bring it home to Texas, post a note to identify it as dead and NOT actually IN the cache. Same goes for your newly activated/stagnant unreleased bugs to free up your inventory. I will keep a running count of dead bugs and TBs in limbo that are listed here.
If one of your dead bugs that you buried here magically comes to life before you decide to use your copy tag, BE SURE to post a celebratory note and I will keep a running count of resurrections too.

DIRECTIONS:
Three ways to hunt... (Use TopoZone for the best detail.)
#1 4X4/High clearance vehicle park and grab- Enter from the North on the bayou right of way. (Left bank) Stay on the right of way. DO NOT enter Buffalo Run Park with your vehicle. The cache is within 20 yards of where you will park.
#2 Short hike - No truck/Jeep? Park at the Exxon station, at Fondren & the Beltway. Walk west along the feeder until you come to the bayou right of way and follow it south.
#3 Decent hike (over 1 mile round trip) through a beautiful park passing other caches along the way- Park in the teeny tiny parking lot at Buffalo Run Park to the South next to Thorogood Marshall High School. Bring your fishing pole. There are FIVE lakes. This option has a curfew of 10pm, in winter, and 11pm, in summer.
