Die Blaue Kuppe stellt eine geologische Besonderheit dar. Es
handelt sich um einen 10-12 Millionen Jahre alten Vulkanschlot, der
die damalige Erdoberfläche nicht erreichte und stattdessen in eine
Buntsandsteischicht stecken blieb. Später ist das Deckgebirge
abgetragen und hierdurch die Blaue Kuppe herausgearbeitet worden.
Ihre heutige Form erhielt sie dadurch, dass sie vom 17. bis 20.
Jahrhundert als Steinbruch diente. Die Farbe erhielt sie durch
glutflüssiges Magma, das den Sandstein färbte. Heute steht das
Gebiet unter Naturschutz.
Um diesen Cache loggen zu können, benötigst Du ein Bild mit GPSr
und Dir selbst, dass vor dem Schild auf dem angefügten Bild
geknipst wurde. Beachte bitte auch den Cache GCMBYX in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Achtung: Groundspeak schreibt in den
Guidlines vor, daß noch eine extra Aufgabe zu lösen ist, damit die
suchenden Cacher dabei etwas lernen. Hier also zwei Fragen, die vor
dem loggen per e-mail richtig beantwortet werden müssen:
a = Wie nennt man die Zeit, in der der dieser Vulkanschlot
enstand?
b = Wann beschrieb Alexander von Humboldt die Blaue Kuppe in seinem
Kosmos?

The "Blaue Kuppe" (blue hilltop) is a geologic special quality. Its
a throat of 10-12 million year old volcano, that never arrived the
surface of the earth. He stucks in astratum of sandstone. The stone
get his grey-blue color from the hot magma.
From the 17. century to 1910 the rock-formation was a quarry. Today
the hole location is a nature reserve.
To log this cache please make a photo from you with GPSr in front
the sign on the bottom photo. You can search also the cache
GCMBYX close by.
