Dark Side of the Moon
This cache is a short walk from Farnborough village and is close to the wonderful expanse of High Elms Country Park.
When originally placed in 2005 this cache was called Dark Side of the Moon because of the great lump of chalk on the roots of the fallen tree, which looked like the moon. Unfortunately in the intervening years the tree has rotted and there is almost nothing left of either the tree or the chalky mass. The picture above shows the base of the tree in 2009, and the current state (2022) of original hide. I have therefore had to move the cache slightly to a spot which still has some semblance of the original hide.
As so much has changed I have rewritten the cache page description, but have stored the original description and zoecakes' 2018 update in my log of 17 March 2022, together with the original hints.

There were no reviewer logs at that time, but I'm pleased to see that Andy33 (aka Longman) was the 5th finder. Other local finders in 2005 who are still caching include: The Biggin Hill Flyers, Warren Wanderers, heartstones1 and Deepdiggingmole.
