Located at the mountain of Ano Glyfada,at a peak that is lower than the white small church of Profitis Ilias, at the altitude of 237 meters.If you like hiking then this cache is for you ! ! !
The small white church of Profitis Ilias can be seen even from the marinas of Glyfada.So with your car or bike, head for the area of Ano Glyfada that is approximately at the foot of Profitis Ilias.But your main target is the peak that is right and lower of the small white church.You can park somewhere near the spot with the coordinates: N37 52.769 E23 46.373 which is at 123 meters altitude.From this spot on, you can not take your car or bike or mountain bike.Hike is the name of the game if you want to continue.So you have to wear shoes for hiking at areas with great amount of inclination.As you look at the rocky peak (which is lower that the level of the white church of the nearby left mountain) it seems really hard.But as soon as you reach the spot of the cache, you will realise that it is not as hard as it seems from below.Enjoy the breathtaking view from this spot! You can see the areas of Glyfada, Argyroupoli, Elliniko, Ag.Dimitrios, Alimos, Faliro, Pireas, Voula, Vouliagmeni and the islands of Aegina and Salamina.At clearer days you can even see Pelloponissos.
The cache consists of the following items: a logbook a pen and a pencil in a seperate bag, a geocaching declaration in
Greek at one side and in English at the opposite, a DVD with the movie "The Scorpion King" in 16:9 format, a small box full of glass balls, a plastic whale, a plastic horse, a smilling-wondering child's toy, a metallic key ring, a brand new set of playing cards, a pack of three aromatic handkerchiefs, a small white calendar of 2005 and finally a souvenir from Parga.
