This micro cache (nano nano)is one of a series secreted along
the Western Md. Rail Trail. If you are an avid hiker, the round
trip is about forty miles. It is more manageable on bike or roller
blades. Parking is plentiful along most of its length. Most bike
enthusiasts prefer to park at its SE terminus near Big Pool or in
Hancock, which is roughly the mid-point of the trail.
Nearby to the posted coordinates is a historic marker that
describes the mile-long body of water called Little Pool, part of
the C&O Canal during its heyday. No bushwhacking or wandering
off the trail are required No hints. Obvious hiding places are
somewhat limited. Bring a pen. Enjoy the local fauna, flora and
pastoral ambiance.
