One of the walks to the Memorial

I actually discovered this wonderful place while looking for a good hiding spot for a cache near the water. Another example of the unexpected to be found while Geocaching.
An internet search provided some of the memorial's history. Can you imagine what this memorial meant to those vets who worked hard to have it built? I'm not a vet, but this place means a lot to me too.

The cache has been moved from the location it was at for five years. It is now at the edge of the grounds. Park in the large lot to the east, walk up the pathway, and head for the trees.
