Located just outside the State Game Area boundry. Small Tupperware container
This Cache is located just outside State Game Area Boundry. You can get there by Kayak or Canoe or by foot.
This cache has almost a 14 year history. Placed in the winter of 2004 in what was a lonely area. Today, there are some trails and a unofficial campsite nearby. It has been burned, found by accident and destroyed a few times.
Not many clues or locations for parking, etc. Get a map and do a little research. I will tell you, that (by foot) it is challenging and you will have to travel through the SGA. The Isle of Foretold Misery isn't named for the trip in, but the trip out.
If you go by Kayak or Canoe, make sure the river is clear of ice. You can include two cover bridges for your put-in and take-out.
When I placed the cache by foot and the ice was unsafe. My 8-year old daughter could get to it with a little supervision, but she is a tough and experienced outdoors girl (for her age). She has hiked many miles, can use a compass, GPS, rappelling and rock climbing equipment, and can kayak pretty good.
