Geocache Description:

he journey to this cache will take you on a short hike on a lightly used trail, to a junction with the Calabasas Peak Motorway.

You can access this cache from at least three directions. From the Calabasas - Cold Creek (CCC) Trail or from either end of the Calabasas Peak Motorway. The Calabasas – Cold Creek Trail is the shortest hike (2.4 mi. MRT). Bicycles are allowed on all routes. If you are biking down the Calabasas Peak Motorway, this cache is just a park and grab. There are many interesting rock formations and several small caves to explore in the area of the CCC trail junction. Once on the Calabasas Peak Motorway, there are fantastic views of Conejo Valley, San Fernando Valley, Topanga Canyon and San Gabriel Mountains in the distance. The cache is a round 3’ X 5” container covered with camo duct tape. The cache is within easy reach, just a few steps off the trail. As always in the Santa Monica Mountains, be careful when walking through the brush and putting your hands in or around the rocks. The parking and trailhead for the Calabasas – Cold Creek Trail are on Mulholland Highway at N34° 07.584’ W118°39.444’.

WARNING: As you will see by reviewing the log entries for this cache, rattlesnakes are very common on this trail. BE VERY CAREFUL!!
