This church was built around 1250 but the village centre subsequently grew some 1/2 mile further down the road. The original church fell into disrepair and this location can get flooded into Winter so that it is almost inaccessible. During floods in early 2020, I saw a farmer from the adjacent farm going to feed his cows with hay loaded in his canoe!
The villagers decided to move the nave of the church to a new location in 1896, but the chancel remains in it's original location, now some distance from any other buildings. It is a very peaceful location.
Further information about the church is here.
There is parking at N51°38.321', W01°54.879' or alternatively on the grass verge near the footpath.
The cache is in a camo bag.
