Geocache Description:

A relativly easy cache that visits historic homesteads and huts in southern ACT.

This is a multi cache that’s a bit simpler than my others. For starters, I’ll be giving you the coordinates of all of the locations except the last one and I’ll try avoid complicated mathematics.

This cache will take you to some of the historical huts and houses in the southern wilderness of the ACT. Some of these homesteads are of significant historical value, being amoung the earliest buildings in the area. All are accessed fairly easy with a conventional car (but you may need a full fuel tank) and some easy walking. This cache can easily be done in a day, along with a few others in the area. Avoid doing this cache on really hot days, take a hat and sun-screen. Avoid doing this cache on really cold days too, dress warmly. Be cautious when driving, as there are often kangaroos and sheep on the roads, particularly in the morning. Also, the road south can be very slippery in snow and rain. So please drive cautiously and at a speed that will allow you to stop in the distance you can see.

Your locations are:
Hut 1 S35 38.349 E148 57.682
Hut 2 S35 45.504 E148 58.486
Hut 3 S35 46.513 E148 57.537
Hut 4 S35 52.489 E148 59.095
Hut 5 S35 53.227 E148 58.293

The final location of the cache can be considered to be South 35 AB.CDE East 148 FG.HIJ

A= Number of rooms of Hut 5 including the wood room.
B = Number of rooms in Hut 3.
C = Number of doors in hut 3.
D = Number of rooms in Hut 1
E = Number of doors in Hut 1

F = Number of rooms in Hut1 and Hut2 combined.
G = Number of fire places on all huts combined plus number of verandahs on hut 5
H = Number of baths on all huts combined.
I = Number of verandahs on Hut 4 times the number of rooms in Hut 1.
J = Number of fire places on hut 1 and 5 combined.

At the final location you will find an upright object full of rubbish, sharp rubbish! But there’s no need for injury to reach the cache.

Please allow others to enjoy this cache by not posting spoilers, eg, answers to the questions that calculate the final locations. Photos of the locations are fine, but perhaps just give the location as being ‘at one of the huts’ rather than Hut 1, Hut 2 etc.

Enjoy, Panic!
