Geocache Description:

You can drive to it on blacktop all the way. Its not far off the road. Small children should always supervised by an adult but they can search for this one too. It's not too difficult to find but has a little challange to it.

This cache is in a green ammo can. The can contains some cool treasures and a log book. I don't like to list any to keep it a surprise. While you're there, spend some time finding sharks teeth. My wife and I found 80+ sharks teeth in our first hour of looking. Best spot we have ever found. They are not as plentiful as that any more, however if you will be patient and look in the right spot you will find a few. The landowner gave permission for me to hide the cache and said many people hunt for teeth there. He doesn't mind as long as you stay on the road side of the fence and use nothing larger than a screwdriver or pocket knife to dig for the teeth. The place to look is on the other side of the creek along the limestone bank. Look at the picture I posted on here for visual details. The teeth are located in the hard sand layer between the gray shale and the limestone.
I once found part a fossilized paddle of one of the largest plesiosaurs ever found in Kansas in this spot. It was donated to The Sternberg Museum at Fort Hays State University. Other rare finds were then taken from the site by the University after my discovery. Have a great time and remember to keep the site clean. (The terrain for fossils hunters is a little more difficult than the cache find. There are many harmless spiders and some occasionl scorpions) Found a small harmless brown snake one time too. No poison Ivy.)
