The cache is placed at the location of the wide shot of Helm's Deep in the movie Lord of the Rings.
On the banks of the Rangitata River in North Canterbury. Please observe river safety and beware of changeable conditions.
To visit the cache independently you may need permission from landowners, Mesopotamia Station, this is dependant upon your access route.
The cache is not on private property though.
There is a commercial tour operation that runs 4x4 tours to this beautiful area.
The cache is a 'Rubbermaid' type container. Started with 'Buzzy bee' keyring, Geocaching Tattoos, pen holder, calculator.
