Geocache Description:

This cache is located at Coleman's Traditional Irish Pub in the Tipperary Hill neighborhood of Syracuse.

Many thanks to the owner, Peter J. Coleman, and also to Melanie for consenting to allow us to place a cache at this wonderful Syracuse landmark that has been a special part of the Syracuse landscape since it was founded in 1933 by the current owner's Irish immigrant father.

The pub boasts two main doors at its entrance - one for regular folks and the other for the "wee people" - and its Irish pub decor is accented with a solid oak bar fashioned after Jury's in Ireland and beautiful custom made celtic-design stained glass windows created by a local stained-glass artist and gracing the building like sparkling jewels.

This winter-accessible cache is a small magnetic container large enough only for a log, so you will need to bring a pen or pencil in order to log your find. Please be respectful of the property and extra-discreet in your search since the restaurant is quite popular and always busy. Once you have signed the log, please be sure to reattach the container to steel, which is magnetic, rather than to bronze, which is not. Otherwise, the container will not remain safely in place.
