There are a number of ways to approach this cache, some more difficult than others but all involve a decent hike or mountainbike ride, and a climb/bushbash at the end. Here are your options:
East: Probably the best way for those who choose to ride. Check out the interesting mountainbike course at S34° 06.137 E150° 59.149. If you are on foot and armed with a topo map you can take a shortcut by bush-bashing downhill when the trail turns to the North, but be careful.
South: If you are coming from the South you will have the longest walk (via the Bullawarring track) but the easiest climb up to the cache.
North: You can come in via the Pipeline Road (another good riding option) or perhaps through the Scout Training Centre, but this way is untried and I can’t vouch for it.
Be warned – approaching ground zero from any direction but South will involve a climb with a few cliffs to negotiate. I came from the North and while it was difficult it was still a lot of fun and not particularly dangerous, but beware of the cliffs near ground zero.
Gunner’s Cave on the creek to the North-East of ground zero is also worth a visit.
The name of this cache was suggested by 8-yr-old PAK when I was having trouble coming up with one myself. It amused me as much as the name of the hill that the cache is on.
