Advance to Boardwalk Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

abcdmCachers: WP3 was still there, but had fallen out of its knothole onto the ground. Even if you had found it, it was unreadable. But even it was readable, the final has been stolen. This is the 2nd time this one has been stolen, so I'm reluctantly archiving. Sorry if you searched for this one while it was missing.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Located in Wirth Park. The hours are 6AM to 10PM. Park near coordinates for first WP. The hike is less than a mile. This 4-part multi is great for the whole family. Extremely little bushwhacking is required. The trail is a loop; you will not need to backtrack on the main trails. THERE IS NO NEED TO CROSS OR GO ON/NEAR TRAIN TRACKS!

5/21/06 - Moved final to a new location

This is a monopoly-themed multi cache, but the contents of the container do not follow the theme, so bring anything you like. Dogs are allowed in the park, but not on this particular trail. Go figure.

From information at the 1st waypoint, use the following problems to determine the coordinates for WP 2.

N 43 3.ABC
W. 88 6.ABD

A = number of items the trails are open to plus (+) the number of items the trail is closed to.
B = number of trees shown on the map WITHIN the Wetland Awareness Trail. Divide (÷) that number by A.
C = number of groups acknowledged and thanked.
D = The answer to C plus (+) the number of parking lots shown on the map.

For WP2, you'll have to take a chance (no danger involved!).

WP3 can get soggy after hard rains. At WP3 you will find a very small item with a 3-digit number written on it. Add that number to the following numbers:

  • 826 to get E.
  • 636 to get F.
Plug in the equations here:
  • N 43 3.E
  • W 88 6.F

The Final is a small tupperware container, big enough for small trading items. We hope you enjoyed your game of monopoly!

Here is a link to a website with instructions on how to get to a nearby letterbox. It also tells a little about Franklin Wirth.
