This cache is located near a ruin on the peninsula Spinalonga.
We didn't find any description of this old building so it is
unknown to us if it's part of the fortress the Venetians build in
1579 on the nearby island , also known as Spinelonga. This island
was from 1903 until 1957 a colony for people who sufered to
leprosy. This leper colony is much frequented by tourists, but the
peninsula is pretty quiet. When we placed the cache we were all
alone up there. We placed this one spontaneous on our vacation so
it only contains two trading items and a logbook.
Please wear good shoes the walk is not too long but it leads you
trough rocky landscape. Near the place where you leave your car
there is a litle bay with a beautiful sandy beach. Not too many
people come there, so bring your swimming trunks and snorkel.Park
