This cache is situated in the Dartmoor National Park, Devon. It is possible to drive virtually to the cache's location, however it is away from the roadside. The cache is well hidden and may take quite a bit of searching for. Hence the respective ratings.
The cache is a half litre ice cream tub. It is tapered, so only small sized travel bugs please. To start the cache there are the usual selection of treasures including our travel bug, the Dartmoor Wanderer. The views from the location are outstanding, look at picture 1, which is a view from the cache's location. Fairly nearby, at the bottom of the hill is a stream with a flat grassed area next to it. Our daughter has passed many a happy hour paddling and playing here. I am sure many generations of children have done so as well in the past. If you feel inclined take a picnic and spend a few hours here. Be warned, there are no facilites here or even nearby. No pubs, shops or public toilets are available. There is parking for about half a dozen cars, be careful nobody blocks you in though!
