Over 700 cachers have logged over 8,000 finds. One cache machine found 102 ISQ caches in a single day (daylight hours only).

MICHIGAN SPIRIT QUEST #2

"Sorry No Horses Allowed"

WELCOME TO Old Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater, Branch county, Michigan. Many of Coldwaters Founding fathers and war heroes are buried here. This is a nice easy & quick multi cache. The cache is a regular sized ammo box. This area is open from 5am to 10 pm. I hope you enjoy and learn a little history from this cache. The coordinates above will take you to a monument, for Henry Clay Lewis. Henry Lewis had a Famous art Gallery in Coldwater, it was considered the best art gallery west of New York. When Lewis's favorite horse died, he wanted to have it buried at the large family plot in Oak Grove Cemetery. The council refused; it was against the ordinance. This made Lewis upset and is said to be a reason that he changed his will to give his 1,000 pieces of art to the University of Michigan instead of the city of Coldwater. For the coordinates to the cache box you must find a few dates from the monument. 1. ABC= 2663- The year on the steps of the monument. 2.DEFG= 4,099-The year Henry Clay Lewis died. N 41 56.ABC W085 0D.EFG When you go to the coordinates you just got you will find the cache and in side the cache the Historic story of a famous soldier that was given no Monument in his honor. After your done feel free to walk around and enjoy the area.
