Go to the Silver Springs campground and find parking in an overflow lot quite close to the cache. During the winter months, the campground will be gated, so your walk will be a bit longer.
When my husband and I stumbled on this "Thing" last August, I couldn't stop thinking about it and decided to place a cache near it.
The cache is a small ammo can painted brown. It should be pretty easy to find. There are a lot of trees in the area so you might get poor reception. Use your geo-sense.
Please do not have the children in your group re-hide the cache.!
Please do not describe what you see here in your log so future finders can be surprised too!
THERE IS A DAILY USE/PARKING FEE IN THIS AREA. You may park along the highway and walk in or purchase a pass and park in the camp ground area.
