Utsikten från Husåsen (även kallad Stughöjden) är höjdpunkten under en vandring längs den 13 km långa Lårhöjdsleden.
Uppdatering 2018-05-12: Vid det här laget har skogen växt upp, så utsikten är inte vad den var. Så antingen väntar du på nästa kalhuggning nedanför berget eller också tar du en trevlig promenad utan utsikt.
Lårhöjdsleden erbjuder en trevlig vandring där du upplever flera olika skogsmiljöer. Du vandrar över hjortronmyr, genom blåbärsskog och genom mörkaste granskog. Utsikten från Husåsen är en avstickare från leden utmärkt med en skylt. När cachen lades ut var utsikten fantastisk, nu har skogen växt upp och bara ett nytt kalhygge kan återställa vyn. Under vandringen kan du ta en rast i Storfors skidors stuga som står öppen. Du kan också grilla vid vindskyddet på Lårhöjden.
Obs: Det är stig hela vägen till utsikten.
The view from Husåsen (also called Stughöjden) is the highlight during the 8 miles walk along Lårhöjdsleden (The Lårhöjden Trail).
Update 05/12/2018: The view is not what it was anymore, the forest has grown upwards as forests tend to do. However, instead of waiting for next clear-felling, take a nice hike along the trail anyway, there are plenty of things to see.
Lårhöjdsleden is a nice wandering trail where you will cross clowdberry swamps, blueberry land, the darkest of fir forests and many other types of forest. The view from Husåsen used to be your reward apart from the cache, but the woods have grown since the cache was placed and only a regular clear-cutting could restore it. During your hike you can take a brake in the cottage of Storfors skiing, it is always open. You may also grill at the shelter at Lårhöjden.
Note: There is a path all the way to the view.
The cache is a 0.5 liters plastic box in a black plastic bag with the following original contents:
* Geo letter, log, pencil, bag clip for log bag (leave it in the cache!)
* Beer opener
* Mini torch
* S-sticker
* Clamp (from GCJN68)

| Om du vill ha en kortare promenad (3 km) kan du parkera här. Sista biten grusväg är dock mycket brant och inte i så gott skick (men du kan vandra den biten, den är ca 800 meter). |
If you want a shorter walk (<2 miles) you can park here. The last bit of dirt road is very steep though and not in very good condition (but you can walk that bit, it's about 800 meters). |

Om du vill gå ännu kortare (1,3 km) och din bil klarar de sista 2 km dålig grusväg kan du parkera här. Men varför skulle du göra det och missa en fin vandring?
Du kan följa stigen från parkeringsplatsen hela vägen till cachen! Och tro mig, det finns en mycket fin stig, fast kanske inte just åt det håll gps-pilen pekar. |
If you want an even shorter walk (<1 mile) and your car can take the last 1.3 miles of poor dirt road you can park here. But why would you do that and miss a very nice hike?
Note! You can follow a path from the parking place all the way to the cache. And trust me, there is a path, but perhaps not where the GPS arrow points. |
