This short walk guides you through the 9.th district of Vienna. Heimito von Doderer, a famous austrian writer, raised a monument in his novel "Die Strudlhofstiege" to this part of Vienna. The walk will guide you from his residential house to two settings of his novel.
Dieser kurze Spaziergang führt Dich durch den 9. Wiener Gemeindebezirk. Diesem Teil von Wien wurde durch den Roman "Die Strudlhofstiege" von Heimito von Doderer ein "Denkmal" gesetzt. Der Weg führt von dem Wohnhaus, wo er seine letzten Jahre lebte, zu zwei Schauplätzen des Romanes.
Stage 1: The residential house / Das Wohnhaus

At this house you will find a plaque. When had lived Heimito von Doderer here ? Calculate the crossfoot for each of the both dates.

Stage 2: The military academy / Die Militärakademie
N2 = N1 + A + B + 14 + 8
E2 = E1 + 3 * (A + B) - 2 + 24
In former times, at least in the novel "Die Strudlhofstiege", this building was a kind of military academy. Today it has another intention. At this building you will find a flag with a special name, which contains two terms.
C = number of symbols of the first term of the flag
D = number of symbols of the second term of the flag
In diesem Gebäude befand sich, zumindest laut dem Roman "Die Strudlhofsteige", eine Art Militärakademie. Heute dient dieses Gebäude einem anderen Zweck. An diesem Gebäude befindet sich eine Flagge mit einem speziellen Namen, in dem 2 Begriffe enthalten sind.
C = Anzahl der Symbole des ersten Begriffes auf der Flagge

Stage 3: The poem / Das Gedicht

E3 = E2 + C + 3 * D
At this place you will find a small fountain and a plate with a poem. Count the words and lines of this poem, each without the title and the name of the author.
E = number of words of the poem
F = number of lines of the poem
An dieser Stelle findest Du einen kleinen Brunnen und eine Tafel mit einem Gedicht. Zähle die Anzahl der Wörter und Zeilen dieses Gedichtes, jeweils ohne Titel und Namen des Autors.

Stage 4: The cache / Der Cache
To reach the cache you have to do the following calculation:
G = 2 * (E / F) + 2
Go "G" steps upwards, then you should be in front of the cache. Although this location isn't that frequented, you have to be careful to retrieve the cache, because you don't always see peoples passing by.
The cachebox is a film canister, which contains only the logbook. Please bring your own pencil.

Um zum Cache zu gelangen musst Du noch folgende Rechnung durchführen:
G = 2 * (E / F) + 2
Gehe "G" Stufen aufwärts, dann solltest Du vor dem Cache stehen. Obwohl dieser Ort nicht allzu frequentiert, ist beim bergen des Caches etwas vorsicht geboten, da man nicht immer sieht ob jemand vorbeigeht.
Der Cachecontainer ist eine Filmdose, die nur das Logbuch enthält. Daher bitte etwas zu schreiben mitbringen.
