Delaware & Raritan kanalu v New Jersey.
Jiraskovu mostu), ZOO,
Trojsky zamecek, Stromovka a cistirna odpadnich vod s muzeem.
The original container was the cache I have hidden last summer
in Delaware & Raritan Canal Park, New Jersey. When I was moving
back, I have archived it and took it with me: the container was
still in excellent shape, the logbook has free space enough, so I
placed it without any change in an appropriate place (between a
river and a canal) in Prague. In less than two months it was stolen
- for now it has been replaced by a micro.
During the floods in August 2002, the island has been completely
submerged. You can still see reminders of the floods: the gardens
near the cache site have been washed away and the weeds have
overgrown the whole island, but there is still something to watch:
the island is popular for horseback riding, nearby is an artificial
whitewater canal where you can watch the kayakers training. Nearby
amenities include boat landing site (you
can take a boat ride to downtown Prague), ZOO, Troja Chateau, Stromovka Park
and the municipial wastewater plant with a museum.
