land in San Mateo County.
“Ollie Octopus needs help finding his collection of treasures.
His GPSr is not working right. He knows some human has been messing
with it because he's getting weird symbols like "8" and "9" on his
display. And he also knows he left his prized possessions at these
coordinates: N23 57.672 W101 7.504
So now he needs your help.
(Just so you know, octopi don't have much use for multiples of
5, but do see the advantage of 3 as a multiple, so they divide a
circle into 300 of their degrees in their numbering system. Each
degree is divided into 60 of their minutes, again using their
numbering system.)
Please help! He's really missing those treasures!
Ollie’s treasure consists of his prized underwater themed
goodies plus a digitalfish hotel, where you can drop off, pick up
or swap digitalfish sig items.
P.S. Ollie’s pretty mad with humans messing up his GPSr. You
might want to bring a suitable trade item in case he gets back
there first without our help!”
Note: Octopus minutes are less precise than human ones so you
may need to “fish” around a bit more than usual to find the cache,
which is a camo-duct-taped cashew jar.
Note: Difficulty is set at 3. It’s just arithmetic, but it
nearly drove us crazy getting it right!
