Geocache Description:

This cache is located on an island in the middle of Lake Kerr.

This cache is easily accessible by anything that floats. If you like to boat on Kerr Lake, you have to check out this island. The nearest shoreline is approximately 1/2 a mile away. So if you can get to it, you could reach it with a canoe or kayak. However, the most obvious way to get to it is via a boat launched from any of the dozens of boat ramps on the lake. For those of you concerned with beaching your boat, the shoreline on the south and east side of the island is pure sand. Just watch out getting too close to the west side of the island because there are numerous unmarked underwater trees and hazards.The cache is a large yellow plastic container. It is hidden fairly well, but should not be too hard to find. The area is pretty overgrown, so the coordinates are probably not the best.
