This cache celebrates the achievements of Sir Steven Redgrave, Britains Olympic Legend, winner of 5 Olympic gold medals in successive years. A bronze statue of him is located at N51 34.045 W000 46.624.
Parking in Marlow can be problematical unless you use the public car parks and these are not cheap. Be aware that the street parking restrictions apply at weekends as do the car park charges. There are no restrictions if you park on the south side of the river, it's a different local authority. The walk to and from the cache will take about an hour. The towpath is an easy walk and quite suitable for push chairs.

Once you've seen the bronze have a look at the Millenium Maze at
N51 34.020 W000 46.590
Now walk along the towpath in a westerly direction and across the river you will see the Marlow Rowing Club where Steven started his rowing career, more than likely you will also see budding chanpions practising. Further along the path you will see Bisham Church with it's Norman Tower you can find out more from this web site

Next to the Church is Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre. Another training ground for budding champions.
Enjoy the calm of the river as you continue on to Temple Lock.
If the flag is flying in the garden of the lock keepers house you can get a cup of tea or an icecream.
If you are feeling energetic you could continue along the towpath to Hurley Unlock cache.
