A 4.5 mi R/T 600' vertical workout for anyone. Cache replaced 5/23/13. THIS CACHE SURVIVED THE SPRINGS FIRE!!!
Agouracharger has hidden so many enjoyable (and at times confounding!) caches; here's one to honor him. The closest trailhead is at the south end of Wendy Dr. in Newbury Park (trailhead at 870' elevation) in Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa. No access from private ranches east of the cache. Get a park map and take the windmill/waterfall trail to the Hidden Valley Overlook trail. Trail is steep and rocky in places - wear good hiking shoes - no dogs or bikes. Good trail all the way (game trails at the end); few trail signs or other hikers, wonderful views, including views down into Hidden Valley. It's on the National Park boundary but not in the park. Cache is hidden on the right (ocean) side of the trail, just west of the old/burned fence under some rocks and barbed wire. Container survived fire but contents did not, so swag added 5/23/13. TRADE FAIR OR NOT AT ALL!
