This cache is hidden along a well marked/developed gravel trail at the base of Quechee Gorge. Area is easily accessible and trailhead is well marked. Hike down to cache is approx. 0.4 miles. The trail is mildly steep but is still open for X-country skiing (I wouldn't want to ski down it on X-country skis!) and snowshoeing in the winter. Gorge cliffs are fenced off until you reach the bottom but I would still keep a close eye on children.
Parking can be found at any of the public lots near the trailhead which is located at N43 38.259 W072 24.479. Cache is outside. This cache first started as a small magnetic type container but has since been changed to a small 4" X 2" tupperware type container by a helpful cacher. I imagine this area can be pretty popular during the warmer months so please be cautious of on-lookers when retrieving and rehiding the cache. After completing the cache I would recommend hiking back up to the top and proceeding over to the dam and pond for a look-see! Afterwards you can pick up a souvenir, cool drink, or ice cream at the little shop near the trailhead.
