Geocache Description:

This is number four of the Linz City Mountains series. It will lead you to the castle of Ebelsberg, where Napoleon won a fierce battle against the Austrian Army on May 3rd, 1809.

Start your search along the Traun biking route.
Be sure to bring some slippery-resistant shoes or boots with you, as you will have to cross parts of the Traun river.
During melting season, there is a lot of water there, so watch out! The cache is definitely NOT recommended for times of flood!!

Find the first stage (a black film container fixed approx. at face level) at the following coordinates:

N 48°14.937'
E 014°19.636'

You will find a slip of paper that tells you the figures for the final stage. Please leave the hint as you found it!

Calculate the new final coordinates as follows:

N: ??? (north value) + 028 = X
E: ??? (east value) - 021 = Y

The cache (another film container, just pencil and log book) is to be found at:

N 48°14.X'
E 014°19.Y'

After finding the cache (or instead of finding it) consider having a look at the castle of Ebelsberg, where you can find a small museum on the Battle of Ebelsberg and on the Austrian Marine.

Happy hunting,
BalkanSabranje
