Geocache Description:

This microcache is located somewhere on the trail around lake Fisksjön in Karlskoga.

The nature reserve Fisksjön is located south west of Karlskoga town centre. Directions can be found from the main road connecting Karlskoga and Degerfors.
The reserve Fisksjön covers 48 hectares, out of which 16 is water.
It was founded in 1981, and is a nesting ground for many different species of wetland-birds, but also frogs and insects.
The lake is surrounded by plains, and on the south end shore there is a brash-marsh. The east shore on the other hand is occupied in some extent by softwood-grewn cliffs.
About 30 percent of the lake is open water, and the rest mainly consists of quagmire and bulrush.
It is at it's deepest only about 1.5 meters deep.

The easiest way to get on the trail is to park your car at the lot at [N59°18.683';E014°27.834'] and just follow the directions counter clock-wise around the lake.
Amongst other things you can find watchtowers at [N59°18.530';E014°27.562'] and [N59°18.574';E014°27.954']. Take the chance and have a look at the splendid birdlife.
Since this is a reserve, don't walk outside of the marked (small sign of an otter) trail if you are there on mating season (April 1 - August 31), and of course take your trash back with you as you leave.
