Dalsi z mych kopcovych cachi Ceskeho stredohori. Milesovka je se svymi 837 m nejvyssi horou cele oblasti. Pred dvema stoletimi nemecky prirodovedec Alexander von Humboldt (a ze ten toho procestoval) povazoval vyhled z Milesovky za treti nejkrasnejsi na svete . Casy se zmenily, ale pohled do kraje doslova z ptaci perspektivy je tu porad. Obzvlaste doporucuji pri dobre dohlednosti. Pro invalidni vozik, kocarek ci bicykl nevhodne.
Na horu vedou znacene cesty z ruznych mist v okoli (Milesov, Velemin, Bilka, Cerncice). Cache najdete v nadmorske vysce priblizne 775 m. Vzhledem k tomu, ze horni cast Milesovky je prirodni rezervaci, ukryl jsem cache bezprostredne u znacene cesty. Nemusite vyslapnout vice jak dva krucky mimo. Jedna se o plechovy kufrikovy ammobox o rozmerech cca 28x18x10 cm, uvnitr nehoz je vlozena plastova klipovka coby pouzdro na logbook (stav 2020).
Znelcovy kuzel Milesovky prevysuje okolni krajinu o vice nez 400 metru. Jeji nemecke pojmenovani Donnersberg (Hromova hora) ma svou logiku, protoze Milesovka skutecne pritahuje bourky a narazy vetru; vrchol hory je vubec nejvetrnejsim mistem Ceske republiky. Neni divu, ze na Milesovce byla zrizena meteorologicka stanice. Vzhledem k tvaru hory se totiz povetrnostni podminky na vrcholove observatori blizi volne atmosfere. Meteorologicka stanice provadi pozorovani jiz od roku 1905 a je vubec nejstarsi horskou meteostanici na nasem uzemi.
Pokud zrovna meteorologove nemaji napilno, muzete zkusit zazvonit na zvonek v JZ rohu arealu. Za maly peniz vas pusti na vyhlidkovou plosinu veze.
Another cache of my hilly series in the Central Bohemia Range. The Milesovka mountain (837 m) is the highest point of the whole area. Two centuries ago a much-travelled German natural scientist Alexander von Humboldt considered the view of the top the third best in the world. The times have changed, but there is still a bird's eye view of the landscape. Especially recommended by good visibility. Not suitable for wheelchair, pram or bicycle.
There are several marked paths leading uphill from Milesov, Velemin, Bilka or Cerncice. You can find the cache in an altitude of approximately 775 m. As the upper part of the mountain is a protected area, cache is hidden just besides the marked path. There is no need to leave the path for more than two steps. The container is a suitcase-shaped ammo can approximately 28x18x10 cm in size, with a plastic food box holding the logbook inside (as of 2020).
The phonolite cone of Milesovka rises more than 400 m above surrounding landscape. Its German name Donnersberg (Thunder Mountain) is well-founded, because Milesovka really attracts storms and wind; the top of the mountain is the most windy spot in the Czech Republic. No wonder, that a meteorological observatory has been built there. Because of the mountain's shape, the atmospheric conditions at the observatory are close to the free atmosphere. The observatory continually operates since 1905, which makes it the oldest mountain meteorological station in the Czech Republic
If the meteorologist aren't busy at that very moment, you may try to ring the bell at the SW corner of the observatory. For a small fee you will be allowed to the outlook gallery of the tower.
