Founded in 1983, Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County (HfHVC) is the oldest Habitat affiliate in California. The ultimate goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by building adequate and basic housing.
The land adjacent to the parking coords was donated to Habitat in 1994 by the City of Thousand Oaks. One of the conditions was to maintain an open space adjacent to the developed parcel.
With the permission of the land owner, our geocache will also live in this open space. This geocache home is dedicated to Habitat for Humanity and City of Thousand Oaks for their cooperation in the development of this land. The geocache was also once a home for several species in this habitat.
The cache container is fragile. Please do not attempt to remove the cache from its location! Simply open the container and remove the contents. Trade items belong in the rubbermaid container, please do not leave signature cards or other trade items in the zip-loc bag.
