This is the first and only Aruba webcam cache! Have a friend at home waiting, or call them when you get there, and get a capture of yourself on cam. This is the best souvenir!
Dit is de eerste en enige Aruba webcam cache! Vraag een vriend(in) om thuis klaar te zitten, of bel als je ter plaatse bent en laat via de webcam een foto van je maken. Je kunt ook proberen om zelf contact te maken met de wifi van het hotel. Dit is het beste souvenir!
Eagle Beach, the most beautiful beach on the island. The webcam is located at the seaside of the Bucuti Beach Resort in the low rise hotel area of Oranjestad, Aruba. It is placed on the roof of the hotel building.
Eagle Beach, het mooiste strand van het eiland. De webcam bevindt zich aan de zeezijde van het Bucuti Beach Resort in het low-rise-hotelgebied van Oranjestad, Aruba. Hij staat op het dak van het hotelgebouw.
You can park your car at the hotel car park (N 12°32.515, W 070°03.648) or near the Alhambra Casino and Shopping Bazaar. You only have to walk to the beach and position yourself at the given coordinates (N 12°32.513, W 070°03.723). Instruct your friend at home before you go to the beach.
Je kunt de auto parkeren op het parkeerterrein van het hotel (N 12°32.515, W 070°03.648) of in de buurt van het Alhambra Casino and Shopping Bazaar. Je hoeft alleen maar naar het strand te lopen en te gaan staan bij de vermelde coördinaten (N 12°32.513, W 070°03.723). Instrueer je vriend thuis voordat je naar het strand gaat.
Here's what you have to do:
1. Go to the given coordinates and stand up straight, facing the webcam. You must stand on the W-shaped footpath, NOT somewhere else! For the best result do not stand in the shade!
2. Call a friend and have him/her go to one of the links below.
3. When your friend sees you, hold your GPSr or cellphone up in the air (as in the example below).
4. Your friend must zoom in to you, using the mouse and scroll wheel. Have your friend capture the image by using the Print Screen key on the keyboard or the camera/Share button on the image.
5. Save and crop the image using an application such as Paint or Photoshop.
6. Log the find. You must upload the webcam photo to receive credit. Do not log until you have your photo ready for upload!
The webcam can be temporarily out of use; check before your visit!!! If you are visiting with another geocaching team then both teams must post a photo! Logs that do not meet the requirements will be deleted without notice.
Dit is wat je moet doen:
1. Ga naar de vermelde coördinaten en sta rechtop, met je gezicht richting de webcam. Je moet op het W-vormige voetpad staan. Ga voor het beste resultaat niet in de schaduw staan!
2. Bel een vriend(in) en laat hem/haar naar een van de hieronder vermelde links gaan.
3. Zodra je vriend(in) jou ziet: houd je GPS of mobiele telefoon in de lucht (zoals op de voorbeeldfoto).
4. Je vriend(in) moet op jou inzoomen, door gebruik te maken van de muis en het scrollwieltje. Laat je vriend(in) de foto vastleggen met de Print Screen toets op het toetsenbord of de cameraknop op het scherm.
5. Sla de afdruk op en crop deze met een applicatie, zoals Paint of Photoshop.
6. Log de vondst als "webcamfoto genomen". Je moet de webcamfoto uploaden om de log geldig te maken. Log pas op het moment dat je de foto beschikbaar hebt om te uploaden! Logs zonder foto worden verwijderd.
De webcam kan tijdelijk buiten dienst zijn; controleer dat altijd voordat je op pad gaat!!! Als je de locatie bezoekt met een ander geocachingteam moeten beide teams een foto uploaden! Logs die niet aan de vereisten voldoen, worden zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving verwijderd.
NO WEBCAM PHOTO? NO LOG!

Do not cheat on this! The Geocaching.com organisation warned that this webcam cache will be archived if more people cheat by logging photos other than from the webcam! We don't want that to happen!
