Geocache Description:

Not a lot of people know this, but there is a fourth reservoir in the Upper Derwent Valley. It's not clear what its purpose is, as it hardly holds any water. NB: The cache is NOT in the brickwork in the dam wall, so don't start dismantling it !!!

You will pass the three main Upper Derwent reservoirs to reach the cache, Ladybower, Derwent and Howden. Derwent reservoir was used to practice for the WW2 dambuster raids. There is an interesting Dambusters museum in the western tower of Derwent reservoir, open on Sundays only.
