A beautiful point with a view of the Bastille by the Bay and the Bay itself.
Herb Caen gave the area this name -- a legendary location that was home to any number of infamous characters; where Johnny Cash sang "May all the world forget you ever stood. And may all the world regret you did no good."
The location is accessible through a well-marked public access trail and stairs. Please do not go through the nearby condos. At high tide, you might have to step across some rocks -- at low tide there might be a friendly dog playing on the beach. It should be easy to get to the cache. When you get there, do not look too close to the edge of the promontory (Shipwreck Point) -- there is no need to step over the cliff or search at its edge.
The cache is a large micro tucked into its surroundings. You can sit where you can see the Bastille but do not get too close to the edge. Look under. Because the cache is within view of the condos, please be discrete and make sure that it remains well-hidden.
