Geocache Description:

A nice easy walk in open countryside, with great views across Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, to the site of some old Manorial Earthworks.

This cache is just over half a mile East of All Saints Church in Little Staughton. It is located close to the site of a moated enclosure where the local Manor house and farm once stood. The moats are still holding water, but little remains of the Manor house or farm apart from some wooden posts and a small amount of rubble. The map on the right shows the site as it was in 1891.

The walk to the cache is flat and easy if you approach from the church, and the views are wonderful. The grass path is fairly solid and in very good condition so it should be suitable for pushing a buggy on. There is easy parking at N52°15.215 W000°22.816 (possibly not on a Sunday morning, though!)

The cache is an small black ammo box containing the usual goodies and GPS reception is excellent all the way to the cache site

No food, drink or scented items in this cache please!
