Wild and remote view spot in Pt Mugu SP. Figure almost 8 mi R/T from nearest trailhead.
Wow- I hid this cache more than 8 yrs ago and revisited it 12/8/12. Container is pretty rusty; we cleaned it out and added new swag. future searchers might bring a replacement container. This one is all trail until the last 200 yds; from there is a bit of off trail bush parting of coastal sage but but because this spot is so wonderfully remote, few will make the effort to visit so I don't worry about impact. No bikes on the trail. I also encountered some not so "wild-life" 8rs ago here.
