Today, over a year after the Jan 2003 bushfires the Cotter will be officially reopened! The Cotter is one of the favourite BBQ/Picnic areas for Canberrans, and luckily the large deciduous trees in the area have managed to survive! There’s new BBQ’s, new picnic tables, a new bridge, and even a new $250,000 playground. And now there’s a cache to add to the celebrations! Unfortunately the Pub is still gone, and you can’t yet walk all the way to the dam, but it’s a lovely spot, and well worth a visit, or two, or three.
The cache is a 300ml container (so only small swaps please). And please return the cache and cover exactly as found – thanks.
