Geocache Description:

A super easy and fun first webcam cache if you've never done one before.

To correctly find and document this cache you will need a friend you can contact via cell phone that is on line when you are at the cache site. They will save a picture of you at the locale.

The cache webcam url is: (visit link) (controllable for about 2 minutes by the user)

It is also the link that say's "Users Web Page" below my name at the top of this page. The link will open the web cam in a new window.

First of all, take a day and visit downtown historic Annapolis’ Maryland’s City Dock area. Shops and stores are all over and the food is great. The Alex Haley historical monuments are worth seeing.

Info on this location is available at: (visit link)

This camera will actually snap your photo and save it to a jpeg for you by clicking on the small camera icon while viewing the scene. I recommend using this function. This camera view is provided by The Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation in partnership with Historical Annapolis Foundation.

Now while you’re there…your mission is to get in the web cam video picture and stand there with your GPS in the air in your right hand. Please make sure to face the camera. Have your online friend capture this image of you. This works best during the daylight hours, but someone took an evening photo and it worked out okay, too. You can adjust the brightness by toggling the small box with the sunny clouds or rain clouds in it on or off. It will adjust exposure.

Log your visit on this webpage and post the image of you at the location in question to get credit for the find.

Good luck and have fun.
