Beautiful one day, perfect the next! Back into my home state and a family christmas. An easy traditional cache with a few goodies for Dad, Mum and the Geokiddies*.
Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy was Cooks first Queensland landing spot and since then only a few others have discovered the Beauty of this region. It has the East Coasts most northerly surf spots and I believe Coastal Queenslands most friendy people. Stay a week and you won't want to leave, honestly. Some call it the next Gold Coast.
This cache is the first for this region to inspire the locals to use their GPS's for sport other then where the Crab pots and Barra sites are. The next closest is in Bundaberg to the South.
I recommend you allow an hour to explore the tracks around this cache site. I have hidden it well in a spot reasonably safe for the geokiddies but you will still need to keep a close eye on them around the rocks. There is rock fishing opportunities on the Eastern side below where the cache is located but you are advised not to take *kids around to this location. The Western side offers the most amazing views in the afternoon especially with light cloud cover.
Use you common sence with kids as the eastern edges are steep and not needed to access the cache.
I recommend at least a weekends stay to explore the National parks nearby, friendly local shops, a boat / fishing tour or a surf. Kohunas has a recommended feed. Caravan parks and cabins are popular so book which is why I have listed the location above.
Note - This cache is under the care of the local Legend "Chappo" while I'm not here.
