Geocache Description:

Historic spot in a historic town

This now-privately-occupied dwelling was the home of author Mary Austin. In her Western book classic "Land of Little Rain", she shares poetic meditations (and beautiful drawings) about the wonder of dry western landscapes - "of the land, of its trails and what is astir in them, as one lover of it can give to another".

To claim a find, email me two items: according to the plaque, what kind of tree towers over the house, and what man-made object do you find on the corner.
