Geocache Description:

Task is to make a listing and details of Gallipoli locations. Include as much local information as you can.

Note: It is acceptable to take a photo anywhere on the Gallipoli Peninsular and consider that as "Found".If you include coordinates and an interesting story that would be a nice bonus but its not essential.

This is a virtual cache because it is a National park.
Gallipoli is a significant location to many people of many countries, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdom, and many more. It is also remembered by the Turks for they lost as much as any during this campaign.
We like many others visited this region as part of a short stay in Turkey. We realised that after doing a search on the internet of coordinates for Gallipoli that there were none listed that we could find. It is from this that we have formed the idea of this cache.
We would like to compile a list of locations within the Gallipoli area. This will build a practical compilation as a reference for anyone wanting to see the area.
Your task will be to try to add new locations within the park and information about the location such as what its name is and what took place there. Photos and scanned old photos of the same places would make it even more interesting.
If you don’t think you are able to do any of this then the usual virtual cache setup is acceptable. That is: Take a photo of you and your GPS near the location or find the sign at the coordinates and e-mail us any part of the words on the sign closest to the listed Coordinates.
We are sure that many visitors will also have interesting stories to tell so please include these in your log entry. We hope your stay at Gallipoli is as memorable as ours was.

Here is the first of a few locations.
